  3. Important: Do the following before launching Internet Mail and News 1.0 for the first time.
  4. After following these steps, discontinue using Internet Mail and News 1.0 beta 1.

  6. Ñ Throw away your Internet Mail and News Prefs file. To do so:
  7. 1. Double-click the Preferences folder in your System Folder on your hard disk.
  8. 2. Locate the Internet Mail and News Prefs file and drag it to the trashcan on your desktop.

  10. Ñ To have Internet Mail and News 1.0 automatically update your beta 1 Address Book file and Internet Mail folder:
  11. 1. Select the Internet Mail folder and the Address Book file that you used with beta 1.
  12. 2. Hold down the Option key and drag the folder and file to the Internet Mail and News 1.0 final folder.
  13. 3. Launch Internet Mail and News 1.0 final. You will see your mail and your address book entries from the beta 1 copy of Internet Mail and News.

  15. ÑIf you are using Internet Config, you will need to change the helper application for Mailto-, News-, and NNTP- to use the final version of Internet Mail and News.
